A Dinner Party. . .

Linda (my boss) was very gracious and let me sleep in this morning so I slept for 13 hours! It was much needed sleep. So after an afternoon working at the office on table seating for the ball it was back home again to prepare for all of the girls at the office to come over for Tea & pudding (dinner & dessert for all you Americans) so I could get to know them better. Things are so busy at the office that we don't get much chance to talk. One of the girls suggested that I rent a car while I'm here. That thought scared me to death. I would be such as hazard on the road!
I cooked my first England pudding tonight all by myself. Linda had to go pick up her daughter from school so she left me with no recipe or exact measurements to make a Banoffe Pie, something I have never even heard of. It was my "experience" for the day. The pie turned out pretty well for my first time, but was a little to runny. Everyone was polite and said that it was good.
The weather here has been beautiful which I hear is a rare occurrence. Yet another special greeting just for me.
Well I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep so this post isn't as long. I'll do a further explanation of why I'm here and stuff for people reading that I have no clue what I'm talking about. I enjoy all your comments. . . I'm missing home!
